Competition time again kids. This time round we’ve teamed up with Friends of Type to coincide with the launch of their fancy new shop touting beautifully designed typographic posters of pure kerning gold.

Friends of Type are kindly giving away one of Erik Marinovich creations, Punk As Fuck in poster form.  From the man himself;

To get the rawness of the sketch at a high quality we labored over the details with ace printers Vahalla Studios, layering a transparent ink onto black paper before laying down the white. That makes this a 12?x18? 2-color screen print on 100lb Wassau Eclipse Black stock.

However if you can’t stand the thought of not winning a copy though you can buy one of the short edition of 100 prints now as well as having a look through the huge number of typographic designs Friends of Type have already created.

If you fancy the chance to get your hands on a copy of Punk As Fuck poster then Tweet or email us the best 6 word or less phrase you can think of for Friends of Type to use in a future type creation.

You can send your submissions via Twitter @formfiftyfive with the hastag #FOTcomp or via email to win@formfiftyfive.com with the subject line: I want a Punk as Fuck poster. Gimme Gimme Gimme.

The competition closes at 11:59 GMT on 26th August 2010. We’ll review all the submissions with Friends of Type and choose the phrase we think would make the best typographic creation. The winner will be announced shortly after closing date on FFF and we’ll be in contact via Twitter or email for postal details. If we’re unable to get in contact with the 1st choice and receive a response within 3 days then the 2nd choice will be contacted and so on. The competition is open to UK residents only, and multiple entries will be accepted.

Best of luck.
