Hermes the Yeti—NavyBlue’s New Mascot 0

Hermes the Yeti on Navy Blue's website

I got a little mention on the NavyBlue website a little while ago because of this little guy. His name is Hermes (in reference to one of NavyBlue’s clients) and of course is knitted in a deep rich navy blue. And dazzling green moustache.

Fame and fortune awaits.

17th Biennale of Sydney identity 0

I’m not normally a big fan of Jonathan Barnbrook’s work but his most recent project for Sydney’s 17th Biennale is really quite good. A collection of objects, patterns and lock ups make for a visually interesting identity that has been applied across many different elements in a diverse and engaging way.

Made & Sold 0

book spread from Made&Sold

I’ve been working on the book reviews section over at FormFiftyFive for a while now and I’ve loved every minute of it. Next on the list of reviews, Made & Sold is a nice little title from London design studio, FL@33 and published by Laurnce King. A great little book to the end year, I was surprised by the pretty cheap retail price and the amount of hard work FL@33 put into it.

All the photography is done and dusted and we just managed to miss the onslaught of snow. So here’s a preview of the book until the full review is released on FFF very soon.

How to find a design agency 0

Mind design have a witty way of showing where they are on a map. Funny stuff and a nice touch with the ‘Hipster Pub’.

Hvass&Hannibal: Losing the Plot 0

Very nice flyer for Kemistry’s next exhibition by Hvass&Hannibal. There’s a definite infographic feel about it.

Big Active Blog 0

Just discovered that the fantastic creative agency and collective, Big Active , have their own blog choc full of work from their very talented members such as Siggi Eggertsson. Siggi did these amazing illustrations for this months issue of Wired UK on Pirates in Somali.

I’m also very excited by the new that, Genevieve Gauckler, illustration above, is putting on a couple of solo shows later in the year, one of which will be on at one of my favourite galleries in London’s east end, Kemistry.
