Monster stockings for long legs 0

I love the idea behind this collection of screen printed stockings. Lots of really interesting patterns and witty interpretations to make any pair of long, luscious and  alluring legs into a work of art.

Yetis photographed at SMUG—Now on sale in London 0

Yetis on Sale at Smug—February 2010

I’ve had an amazingly productive and visually delightful week so far. Early on I managed to fit in a visit to SMUG in Angel, London who have recently started stocking my yetis. I took the chance to get some snaps of the little guys on location in their new migratory home before going on to better families.

Yetis on Sale at Smug—February 2010

SMUG is an amazing little boutique store and so it’s a real pleasure to have my products on sale at such a chic place. It’s definitely worth a trip to have a look around and see the amazing floor on the top level which has been made of reclaimed wood to create a criss-cross checkered pattern.

My yetis are also available for sale through SMUG’s website with pictures of all the yetis they currently have in stock. I’m also excited to say that I’m working on permanent site for my yetis to call home online, to help bring together all the various photographs and information about them as well as a place to buy them directly from myself.

Like always I’ve uploaded a whole set of photographs of the yetis in SMUG which can be found on my flickr along with plenty of photographs of most of the yetis I’ve made over the last four years.

Late Happy Australia Day 0

IMG_0306.JPG

For all those in the know it was Australia day yesterday (it tends to help having an Auzzie sister in law). In celebration of the day I made the classic Mars Crispy Crunch courtesy of my Dads many Australian Womens Weekly cook books. They nothing short or moreish. If you fancy giving them a go you can find the Mars crispy crunch receipe here.

On another note, a big batch of soft toy stuffing arrived for my yetis. However when the delivery person arrived with this huge box (over 10kg) I’m starting to think I’ll have enough stuffing to keep me going for a long while.

Christmas mailers and seasonal gifts 1

A little late to be talking about Christmas I know, but hold back the lectures for a second. There’s a good round up of seasonal gifts and mailers on Creative Review including the Christmas by Colour cards from RAW design in Manchester which featured my very own Christmas colour submission, Bucks Fizz as well as a creative Fedrigoni desktop calendar which I hope to get my hands on for the New Year.

Wired Sept 09 & QuadCamera for iPhone 0

Wired UK September 09

This months copy Wired drop through my letter box recently. The design team at Wired UK have done a sterling job in this months issue, with some beautiful spreads and some nice finishing on the cover with silver foil blocking – not that they don’t do an amazing job of the design every other month.

Wired UK September 09

The p hotograph was snapped with my new favourite app on the iPhone, QuadCamera. Effectively a Lomo camera (one that takes a number of shots all on the same print) but on the connivence of a mobile phone and I’m gonna say it does a grand job too. With plenty of options dictating how many shots are taking and what effects are used (though it looks like there’s a vignette on ever photograph which is taking) it’s an app I’d highly recommend. I’m sure you’ll see plenty of images on here taken using QuadCamera in the future. It’s also worth mentioning the people behind QuadCamera have an online app called QuadAnimator which takes photo’s you’ve taken with the app and then pieces them together to create an animation.

Happy Christmas & update 0

Happy Christmas Happy Christmas

In the festive spirit/in advance, he’s some genius illustrations from Chicago-based designer, Beau Bergeron (and snapped by SimonK).

Via CR Blog

On a side note, for those who are reading this via my website rather than the RSS feed, you’ll of noticed a new look to my blog. It’s something I’ve been meaning to do for a while and I’m pretty keen on the new look though it still needs some tweaking. Perhaps it’s just a festive look or something that’ll carry on into the New Year. Who knows… but I’ll keep you posted.

Happy Christmas!

O Street Studio 0

o street studio

Back in August I had the pleasure of doing some work for o street, an agency based in a beautiful area on the edge of Glasgow’s West End— I had some of the best sandwiches in ages whilst there. It was a great environment to work in with a really small team of people, which made me feel like I made a real impression on both those around me and on the clients brief. One of the best things about it was their open and spacious apartment studio which I managed to take some snaps of before leaving. If that’s not enough for you there’s some more over at this flickr set showing off more of their studio and they’re peseta resistance, table tennis table that’s the focal point of the studio.

Whilst on the subject, I’ll be posting up some of the work I did whilst at o street on my site over the next week, hopefully.
